1. Service

THE WAIT is an entertainment platform around the countdown to cultural events. It offers a countdown, readiness test, calculator, excuse generator, missions, hype points, badges and leaderboards. All content is for entertainment only and is not advice.

2. Account

Registration is free and available from age 16. You are responsible for keeping your password secret. One account per person; multiple accounts used to manipulate points, leaderboards or referrals are prohibited.

3. Hype points and leaderboards

Hype points, streaks, badges and player numbers have no monetary value, are non-transferable and cannot be paid out. In case of abuse (bots, scripts, fake referrals) points may be corrected and accounts suspended.

4. Founding Pass

The Founding Pass is a one-time digital purchase. It unlocks founder status, the founder badge, the gold player card and leaderboard highlighting. The price including any taxes is shown before purchase. Access is granted immediately after successful payment.

The feature set may evolve; we reserve the right to replace individual benefits with equivalent ones. There is no claim to unlimited operation of the platform.

5. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, whose terms additionally apply. You receive a confirmation by email.

6. Right of withdrawal

For consumers in the EU, the separate withdrawal policy at /widerruf applies.

7. User content

Display names and texts you enter must not infringe third-party rights and must not be offensive, discriminatory or unlawful. We may remove such content.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage. No warranty is given for uninterrupted availability.

9. Termination

You can have your account deleted at any time by emailing hello@jointhewait.app. One-time purchases already delivered are not refunded as a result.

10. Governing law

Swiss law applies, excluding the CISG. Place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered office, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.

11. Independence

THE WAIT is an independent fan project with no affiliation to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
